Welcome to iDevelop, a weekly eNewsletter providing faculty with information about professional development opportunities at NSCC. The intent of this eNewsletter is to spotlight the various professional development events for faculty in one convenient location as well as share best practices, resources and tips related to the teaching practice.

20 Minute Online Professional Development: How Can I Make My Course Content More Accessible?
The Monday Morning Mentor series will be available over the fall semester to bring you professional development in twenty minute snippets. The topic for the week of November 10th is How Can I Make My Course Content More Accessible?

  1. Liberal Studies Lecture Series (LS)2: History Professor Larry Davis will present on "'Lost Generation' Found: Terror on the Battlefields of World War I, 1914-1918. One hundred years ago, Europe blew itself apart in what proved to be one of the most devastating wars in human history. Tour the battlefields of France and Belgium with Professor of History Dr. Lawrence Davis and witness the terrible cost of the war then and now.
    When: Thursday, November 13th from 11:00am-12:15pm in the Lynn Campus Gym (Also, teleconferenced in DS 119)
  2. One of the gold standards for assessment of Student Learning Outcomes--the Lumina Foundation Degree Qualification Profile--has just been refreshed and revised. A "Lumina DQP 2.0" is online, and is soliciting faculty feedback about the content of its newest draft.
