20 Minute Online Professional Development
The Monday Morning Mentor series will be available over the fall semester to bring you professional development in twenty minute snippets. The topic for the week of October 22nd is How Can I Get Students to Engage with Course Content Before Class? The presentation is available Monday at 10:00am and is accessible through Sunday of that week. - AMCOA Regional Assignment Design Charrette. Join your colleagues from around the region for an Assignment Design Charette right here at NSCC on Friday, November 2nd from 9:00am to 12:00pm (lunch will be provided following the event from 12:00pm to 1:00pm) in Danvers DS106B. This is in part designed to facilitate attendees’ participation in the VALUE Institute (formerly known as the Multi-State Collaborative). NSCC has ten spots available for faculty to attend the workshop. If you are interested, please RSVP to Cate Kaluzny by Monday, October 22nd.
- New Library Catalog Information Sessions.
Come learn about the new Library Catalog! The NSCC Library joined a new
network and launched a new catalog over the summer. Want to learn how
to use it? We can show you how to find and request books and other
items that the NSCC Library doesn’t have. Stop by one of our quick info
sessions to find out more. In Danvers, the sessions will take place in
the library instruction lab, DB241, on Tuesday, October 23rd at 10:00am. In Lynn, the sessions will take
place in the library classroom, LW181, on Wednesday, October 24th at 2:00pm.
